David Ashton's expertise now spans over forty years since the inception of his unique apprenticeship style training at Steinway & Sons Musical Instruments (London) in 1965. Here he was trained in all aspects of rebuilding, servicing and concert piano tuning in their London factory and showrooms. This unique training at Steinway & Sons afforded him the opportunity to acquire the skills and craftsmanship to transform old and worn out pianos into stunning performance instruments, and has long been acknowledged a master piano technician.
